this is my laptop. its a vista machine built for gaming...i know...it sounds retarded, but it is what it is . asus is a winner in my book, thats why i got this beast before they discontinued it for the g1s-b2. (which is VERY similar) saved me 6-800$ for like a loss of 1gb ram.

and for those who are knowledgeable... what the heck is 'TurboCache' ??? i heard something like its for mindless vista poo...but idk. if it is, i can notice, cause my comp boots up über quick.

Ya that should get pretty close to max graphics.

can u believe i only paid 1200$ for that? nothing compared to the hardware/service that it comes with in that price range. now since it has been discontinued, i cant find one like it for under 1500.

Yeah, like Kade said it should run max gaphics or pretty close to it.
Why do you hate Vista? There's hardly any bugs on it, I've never notice any and I have 2 computers with Vista and it looks better than XP, and it can use DX10 and use more RAM... it's ano brainer for me.

I'm also wondering if my system could handle WAR with the graphics turned up. Here is some information from my dxdiag.txt file.

Yeah, so that's my system pretty much. I don't have a huge sound card, just a soundblaster live 24bit. Should I have any problems running WAR with decent grapics with this setup?

for games, its very much so a (female dog). like certain games will have random crashes on map changes, and stuff like that. i like vista, dont get me wrong, but its not game friendly. also u lose a few frames on games too. thats nit picky, but the fact still remains.

Icelus, yours better...thats like my desktop (moms now) and that is a beastly build. im 100% sure it will run it on max.

Sweet. When I upgraded my card, I set my BF2 settings up to max and went online with my friends. The first thing I said on TeamSpeak was "Holy crap, there's grass in this game". I love my card.

indeed. the 8800 is just amazing for its price and quality. (or at least it was when i got it) i dont follow that stuff anymore, til i build a new puter

Vista is awesome for gaming... Maybe not on your laptop... But it is superior ...

Vista gives me 2 gb of video ram because of it doing what ever it does...

My card is a 8800 GTS SC 640 mb... and vista adds 1.4 gb+ to its ram..

Otherwise we dont know what will run max or not... Because we havent been able to play it.. So everything said really is just a guess.. and probably close to right... or far from it..

I know i'll be interested in testing my new rig out as well for max settings. Just need the bastard to get here now... 9800gtx+ card in it.

i just ran wow on my laptop with maximum everything including resolution, in shattrath city, and no lag. so im assuming the same out of WAR. sry, im just a very precarious(if thats the right word) person.
