cool, the main thing that i had a hard time with is background...i have NO idea how to do um...so i just did that 2-tone

Brushes are your friend.
Also, what I do sometimes is I find a wallpaper that I like, crop out a section of it that looks cool, and enlarge it a bit and then set it as a background, it works out nicely, just check out Enger's sig, that's what I did on his.

when i selected brushes, i only had a few options... am i missing addons, or is there some more selections hidden somewhere? and to be honest, i never even thought about using other pics for backgrounds XD lol

You can download brushes off websites, just google it.

i knew there were more...a buddy of mine from a while ago was really damn good with photoshop, and he had like 100s of different brushes. thanks.
