The soundcard is built into the motherboard, you can get an aftermarket sound card but it usually isn't worth it unless you have like crazy good surround sound speakers.

Considering I'm dropping a few Gs on this computer, let's put the speakers to the side. My Siberias are good enough for now.

I'm running an older computer that when I built it, was pretty damn good. I have one thought on an upgrade ill ask you guys about.

AMD 64 3500+ 2.2 ghz
2048 RAM
nvidia 7600gt pci video card
I dont bother with speakers since i use a headset with a mic attatched for speaking on vent.
I still use Windows XP. I think this is probably because I still trust it.

I'd like your thoughts on it.

Do not get the 9800GTX, the HD 4850 is better for the most part and is cheaper.

It should, there's probably drivers for XP and Vista on it.
