Hurricane Gustav

Just wondering if there is anyone else that may be affected by this? Its already a Cat 3 now, and may get stronger. Right now, it looks like its gonna make landfall west of where I am in Mississippi, so it may not get too bad here. But that means its likely to dominate New Orleans again. And if that isnt bad enough, there is already another storm behind it, Hannah.

Ok we are leaving.. they are now saying it will be the WORST storm in all of US history. Saying our area will be completely destroyed we will 100% lose our home.. so sadly i may not be around during relase.

Which pisses me off to no end.. Been looking forward to warhammer so much.. now wtf my house might be gone. If you guys don't see me around for a while it's because of the storm. Will post back as soon as possible. Leaving tomarrow morning at 3am going to tallahassee. So if ya dont see well ya know why.

Well im here in tallahassee having lot of fun with some friends.. we get back from the beach and we turn on the news.. we live on the west side of the river.. on the east side of the river it's seperated into two sections.. industrial and the other side is homes/bussiness.

The industrial sider levee's have already breached and the secondary levee is about to breach 12feet 3 inches of water the levee's are 12ft tall. The west side seems to be doing good still and the storm just went down to category 2. Hopefully the eastside levees will breach again and save the westside again.

Here's for hoping. My friends dad is a policemen on the westside and hes there atm in the third story of a hospital. Says if you walk out from under the building ( he weighs 273lbs 6" tall muscular guy) that unless your bracing yourself against a wall you will be blown away.

Yeah I live in Morgan City, LA. We left yesterday morning and came all the way to Nashville, TN. By watching the news this morning it looks as if the storm was not as bad as expected. I still plan to stay here until Wednesday. Hopefully power is back up and things are getting back on track by then. We will probably go check some of the sites over here. Might as well make the best of it. Hope everything ends up to be ok on your end as well.

Even though I live in East Texas, Gustav is still being monitored closely by the local weather peeps. Seems it's going to make its presence fully known tonight somewhere around 10pm. While we won't be getting anywhere near the impact of it as the coastal areas it's hitting, we're still getting a rather healthy storm from it.

My friends dad is a police officer and is still there he says as of now all the westbank (aka my home) is fine. Some severe wind damage to trees but no flooding (thank god). So hopefully by thursday we can go home and see what all happened. LOVING tallahassee btw. Beautiful out here

yea Tallahassee is pretty nice, been over there a few times. Been watching the news all day, looks like all the levees held this time. And looking at the evacuation effort they did, it would appear everyone has learned a very big lesson from katrina.
