Open Beta Release??

Anyone seen any forums regarding the actual Open Beta release? Because I found somewhere on some forums that the game was gonna be released in late June, then another forum that the game going to be released late September, then when i reserved my game at ebgames.com they show the game will be released in late October!! What does this mean for Open Beta? That we're gonna be waiting for several months just to play Warhammer? T_T Anyone got any concrete info on this?

It's usually best to use the release dates that GameStop, EB Games, and other major game stores have listed as a guideline. Until the developer officially releases the information, those companies use their experience in the gaming industry to predict the release dates. And they have become good enough that, without unforseen delays, they are almost always within a month of the actual release.

So expect live late this year, early next year, and my guess would be that Open Beta will be around late August to the middle of September.

I'll take a wild stab in the dark and predict a live release 2 to 4 weeks before Christmas

I think they will release sooner than that just to get any bugs ironed out before Christmas.

Releasing right at Christmas makes less sense from a marketing perspective. They release this fall, get a nice big player base who goes out and advertises for them for four months, Then Christmas hits and every high school bnet kiddy gets their mommy to buy it for them because their friends have been playing it.

well said. condem. i would say that is what they are shooting for too. that would be the best marketing strategy. imo.
